An Albuquerque man wanted on charges of bank robbery and attempted bank robbery was arrested last week by the Albuquerque Police Department.
Jason Cruz Cordova, 30, was wanted on a federal arrest warrant in connection with the Aug. 16 robbery of First Convenience Bank, 901 Unser Blvd. in Rio Rancho, and the Aug. 20 attempted robbery of Bank of the West, 780 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE in Albuquerque.
APD arrested Cordova on Thursday. FBI Special Agents took custody of Cordova shortly afterward.
Cordova was expected to have an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Friday.
The FBI was assisted by APD, New Mexico Corrections Department Probation and Parole Division and Rio Rancho Police Department.
All defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
